Health is Not the Destination
Life is

I want to care for myself, not simply in hopes of adding more years to my life, but so I can participate as fully as possible in the years I am given.

Our bodies are remarkable. They are resilient and forgiving, carrying us through sleepless nights, stressful seasons, imperfect choices and circumstances we never would have chosen. But that resilience isn’t an invitation to neglect our bodies. It’s a reason to be grateful—and to offer them the care they deserve.

For me, that means listening, learning and staying curious. It means making healthy choices most of the time while remembering that a life well-lived is rarely built on one perfect habit. And it means paying attention to my own body, my own values and what helps me flourish.

Health and wellness won’t look the same for all of us. Our bodies, abilities, circumstances and priorities are different. Some of us live with physical limitations or health challenges. Healthy choices matter, but health cannot be reduced to a checklist of healthy choices.

So I’ll share what I’m learning, what I’m trying, what I’m questioning and what is helping me care for the body through which I experience this life.

And then I’ll hand you the brush.

Make it yours.
